The WE Hi-Capa Full Metal 7 Inch Dragon is a very impressive pistol based on the popular WE Hi-Capa 5.1 series of gas blow back pistols, with this model being extended to fit a 7 inch barrel! As with the Hi-Capa 5.1 series this pistol features high quality metal and ABS construction, accepts HFC Green Gas out of the box, has an adjustable hop-up and uses a high capacity 30 round magazine.

This pistol features high quality metal construction on almost the entire pistol, including the slide, barrel, upper frame, magazine and the controls. The lower frame including the trigger guard and grip/magazine-well is made from tough ABS. This gives this particular pistol an impressively realistic but manageable weight of around 1190g with an empty magazine inserted. Another great feature is that WE have also provided a metal rail on the frame under the barrel, which is perfect for mounting any tactical lights or laser aiming devices required without complicated mounting systems.

Other features specific to this model include a muzzle strike plate fitted to the front of the pistol along with a cut down slide, which gives it an aggressive and intimidating look. There is a green fibre optic style front sight as well as an all metal adjustable rear sight. The silver skeleton hammer and an exposed outer barrel give the pistol a great look and the textured grip means this pistol is easy to control and hold even when wet!

The controls on this pistol are very easy to use and follow the standard 1911 design. There are two safeties, a grip safety ensuring the pistol can only be fired if it is being held properly and an ambidextrous thumb safety which can be used once the hammer has been cocked. This means it is a very safe and easy to use pistol, but it can be safely carried in a "cocked and locked" state, with the hammer cocked, the thumb safety on, and a round chambered. This pistol also features a two stage hammer, which can be manually cocked, either half cocked or fully cocked to offer a shorter and lighter trigger pull.

The disassembly of this pistol is a very simple and uses the well known process that all 1911 designs and some others use, which makes it very simple to perform regular maintenance such as lubrication and cleaning of the key working parts. The performance and action of the WE Hi-Capa Full Metal 7 Inch Dragon is powerful and smooth, even using standard HFC134a Airsoft gas. This pistol however is one of only a few actually designed to use Green Gas straight from the box, although during the hotter months this is not recommended as it could go over your Airsoft sites velocity limits.

Overall these pistols are well worth considering if you are looking for a reliable gas blow back pistol with lots of metal but at an affordable price.
