This pistol features KSC’s high build quality, accurately replicated features and superb gas blow back design. The frame and slide are made of a heavy weight ABS material, impeccably finished with realistic textures and effects that really make this pistol look very realistic. The pistols slide, frame and magazine all feature accurate HK markings which adds to the overall realism. As with all H&K USP series pistols, the USP .45 features a rail as standard and this has also been added to KSC’s replica. This allows for mounting of all kinds of devices, such as rail mounted torches and targeting devices. With the rail these can be quickly and securely mounted without the need for complicated mounting systems.

The controls on this replica match exactly those on the real H&K USP .45, this means that you get well thought out and placed controls which is the signature of Heckler & Koch handguns. The magazine release is well positioned just below the trigger guard at the top of the grip and as it is ambidextrous it can be activated from either side, so perfect for both right and left handed operators. The slide release and working de-cocker safety are also very well positioned and can be used without altering your grip, this means that the pistol is always ready to fire and is very comfortable to use. The sights feature bright white dots for easy and quick targeting and there are also clear white and red markings on the de-cocking safety.

For those who don't know, the Heckler & Koch USP .45 was Vincent's pistol of choice in the movie Collateral, the very successful movie by director Michael Mann. This may go someway to explaining why KSC decided to produce a replica of a USP .45 and not any of the more common smaller calibre full sized USP pistols. The included 25 round magazine is the standard magazine for the KSC USP .45 Full Size, it holds 25 BB’s in a dual stack arrangement and is made almost entirely of metal; this gives the correct weight distribution for the replica pistol when inserted. Please note that this magazine is not compatible with the KSC USP Compact and the Compact’s magazine is also not compatible with this pistol, this is because they are based on different calibre handguns and the compact version has a smaller grip and therefore a smaller magazine.

This particular pistol is the Taiwanese version, which allows you to save some money over the Japanese version. There are very little differences between the two, namely the markings on the box and magazine. Only one marking is missing off the frame of the pistol but all the others are present, this is a small price to pay considering the saving over the £124.99 Japanese model.
