The popular WE Baby Hi-Capa 3.8 series of compact gas blow back pistols offers amazing reliability, construction and value for money. All of these pistols feature high quality metal construction on almost the entire pistol, including the slide, barrel, upper frame, magazine and the controls. The lower frame including the trigger guard and grip/magazine-well is made from tough ABS. This gives these pistols an impressively realistic but manageable weight of around 925g with an empty magazine inserted. Another great feature is that WE have also provided a metal rail on the frame under the barrel, which is perfect for mounting any tactical lights or laser aiming devices required without complicated mounting systems.

The controls on this pistol are very easy to use and follow the standard 1911 design. There are two safeties, a grip safety ensuring the pistol can only be fired if it is being held properly and an ambidextrous thumb safety which can be used once the hammer has been cocked. This means it is a very safe and easy to use pistol, but it can be safely carried in a "cocked and locked" state, with the hammer cocked, the thumb safety on, and a round chambered. This pistol also features a two stage hammer, which can be manually cocked, either half cocked or fully cocked to offer a shorter and lighter trigger pull.

The disassembly of this pistol is a very simple and uses the well known process that all 1911 designs and some others use, which makes it very simple to perform regular maintenance such as lubrication and cleaning of the key working parts. The performance and action of the WE Baby Hi-Capa 3.8 series is powerful and smooth, even using standard HFC134a Airsoft gas. This pistol however is one of only a few actually designed to use Green Gas straight from the box, although during the hotter months this is not recommended as it could go over your Airsoft sites velocity limits.

Overall these pistols are well worth considering if you are looking for a reliable gas blow back pistol with lots of metal but at an affordable price.
